When sand cast irons were originally used, the reject rate is as high as 30% to 80%, and even totally rejected. After continuous cast iron bar are used, the reject rate is reduced greatly. Better machined surface finish and higher dimensional precision are achieved. The produced parts perform excellently. No material wastes are found. Because of its many superior properties, continuous cast iron materials are proved to be very good substitute of carbon steel, copper, aluminum and other materials in many applications.
